Monday Motivation | Lunchtime Running
Today marks the start of my new lunch break running routine…the start of the ‘Run-ch break’ (I do love a good pun).
Since moving offices I have been more frequently running in the mornings, just a short distance down to the station before I begin my commute. But today that changes. I get to bring my kit to work (instead of wearing it to work) and head out for a longer run, out in the fresh air in the warmer part of the day - and discover more about my new neighbourhood.
Aside from the obvious health and fitness benefits, other bonuses to working up a sweat on your break include, but are not limited to:
- Better productivity / focus at work after exercise
- Improved mental clarity
- Happier at work - Yes please! Sign me up for anything that makes office work enjoyable!
- More likely to take entire lunch hour break - and let’s face it, the less time spent sat at the desk, the better!
- Less work related stress
